From an early age, Megan knew her passion was to work with horses. Megan’s first pony was a 9.3 hand high pony affectionately named “Crazy Bull”. Not an easy ride, Megan learned to ride difficult mounts and the virtue of patient persistence.  Her passion for horses continued to grow as she rode more and more often, and before long she began helping exercise fox-hunting horses, children jumpers, and her mother’s dressage horse.

Megan entered in the dressage arena at the age of seven. Megan was based out of her parents farm in Collingwood, Ontario but While balancing school, riding, and a competitive swim schedule she travelled on weekends and holidays to train and to show While finishing secondary school Megan began managing a dressage facility and taking on clients to support her training.  As a Junior, she competed for Canada at the North American Junior Young Championships with six podium finishes.

In 2009, she bought Caravella, a small mare trained in the hunter-jumper discipline. The duo formed an instant partnership, and became one of Canada's highest ranking combinations. Megan's partnership with Caravella began at the Young Rider levels with great success: The pair finished their junior career with six medals in the North American championships.

At this point, Megan decided to develop her passion for horses into a career as an equestrian. In the year 2011, she was hired by Deer Ridge Equestrian as head trainer for their facility. Working at Deer Ridge, Megan was exposed to top quality horses, facilities and instructors which furthered her transition to the Grand Prix level.

Megan quickly rose in the rankings. In the year 2014, Megan was named Dressage Canada’s “Owner of the Year”. She was also selected as one of four pairs in Canada named to the national team for the World Equestrian Games and is the youngest Canadian dressage athlete to have competed at the event. In the year 2015, the duo’s success continued as they competed at the Pan American Games in Toronto, earning a silver team medal on home soil.

As the youngest member of the national team, Megan continues to break the status quo in the international dressage area. Megan spends her winters in Wellington, Florida competing on the international circuit.
